Nike: The Vote Drop
Insight | Election anxiety keeps us from voting. Idea | As a uniquely iconic brand seen as a symbol of courage and pride, Nike will drop an exclusive line of products inspired by the “I voted” sticker on election day to encourage voters to head to the polls. The products will only be accessed after voting in the elections.
Let’s create some incentive.
THE BUILD UP
Partnering with, Illuminator, projector bomb street art will urge passerby to register to vote and tease their “next step” in the voting experience.
A Nike shoe sole attachment will be given away after registering to vote. Upon clipping to the sole of any shoe, the semi-permanent message, “I registered 2019” will be stamped to the ground with each step, spreading the message that the voting process has begun.
Nike run to the polls runs on Nike+ will provide information on candidates during runs and lead runners to their nearest polling stations based on their location.
Voter runs will show up as red white and blue so they can help others find drop locations once shared.
