Stem cells are capable of multiplying rapidly to produce new cells. These can be used to treat major diseases such as stroke, Alzheimer’s and Lou Gehrig’s disease. Menstrual blood contains, and can be used for stem cells as well.

Planned Parenthood will partner with diva cup company, Lena to create Lifeblood: a way for women to donate their menstrual blood to stem cell research.
